About  Les Grignoux

Les Grignoux is a non-profit organization based in Liège dedicated to the operation of cinemas and film-related activities. It manages the cinemas Le Parc, Le Churchill, and Le Sauvenière in Liège, as well as Le Caméo in Namur since 2016.

The initial challenge

Les Grignoux employs just under 150 people. We have an internal HR team that manages all recruitment activities, including replacement hires, fixed-term contracts, and permanent positions.

For most roles, we handle the recruitment process independently. However, for managerial positions, which involve significant responsibilities within the organization, we wanted to rely on a stronger external frame of reference provided by professionals whose expertise lies in assessing and selecting talent. The objective was not to replace our HR team, but rather to complement its expertise with an external, structured, and objective perspective on these specific recruitment decisions.

The solution

For these managerial profiles, we rely on Profile Group’s Assessment Centres.

What we are looking for is a form of triangulation. We have our own impressions and intuitions built throughout the recruitment process, and it is important for us to have them validated by an external expert. The reports we receive are nuanced, comprehensive, and insightful. I find them remarkably aligned with what we had already identified ourselves. At the same time, they bring added value through a formal framework, deeper analysis, and additional credibility to our observations. It is reassuring to know that our perceptions can be confirmed and refined through a more structured assessment.

The results

The Assessment report allows us to confirm (or challenge) our intuition while providing concrete development points to focus on.

What I find particularly valuable is that the usefulness of these reports extends far beyond the hiring decision itself. Once the person joins the organization, I continue to use the report in my day-to-day management. It helps me understand where to leverage strengths, which areas may require additional support, and how to best accompany the person in their role. The report therefore becomes a genuine management tool - not just a selection instrument, but a roadmap for supporting employees after they have joined the company.

Another aspect we greatly appreciate is Profile Group’s flexibility and responsiveness. They adapt to our realities, unexpected situations, and scheduling constraints. In the day-to-day life of an organization, that is far from insignificant. Knowing that we can rely on a partner who responds in a truly personalized and agile way to our needs is essential.
